Based on internal user research it was determined that due to the nature of the complexity of the increasing number of products that a one page configuration tool was necessary to help customers make informed and transparent decisions about the choices they were making. As users made choices the page would become line items that could vertically be skimmed to look at all the prices of the things chosen. In conjunction with this was an animation initiative to add motion design to help communicate the decisions being made and the simplification of complicated choices.
